Chicken stir fry

Stir fry id one of the easiest

Chicken stir fry is one of the most well known dishes in the world. It’s also one of the quickest and easiest dish to prepare. You can take this dish and make it yours. Adapt the recipe if u want and add your own ingredients as everyone has their own favourite additions to a basic chicken stir fry. The good thing about this dish is that you can substitute any ingredient and add what’s suitable to you, anything to your liking really.

A stir fry can be mixed or served with rice or noodles. I personally love mixing it with noodle and when I'm having it with rice, I would serve it on the side.

I just believe that a good stir fry just depends on the seasoning and the sauces you use, to make the stir fry have that extra flavour. I have what I call "Must have" seasoning and a sauce when it comes to making a stir fry. I have to have all purpose seasoning or at least chicken seasoning, I have to have soy sauce and obviously the famous salt and pepper.

LETS HET STARTED!

Ingredients

  • 2 medium carrots

  • 110g Green beans

  • 1/4 of Red cabbage

  • 1/2 medium onion

  • 1/4 of yellow pepper

  • 2 chicken thigh fillet

  • 150g bean sprouts

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tbsp of soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp of sweet chilli sauce

  • 3 tbsp of teriyaki sauce

  • 1 tsp of chicken seasoning/ all purpose seasoning

  • A pinch or 2 of salt and pepper

Food preparation equipment

  • Chopping board

  • Chef's knife

  • Wooden spoon

  • Wok pan / large frying pan

Method

  1. Mise en Place. Prepare all you ingredients and get them ready to make the meal. Slice the chicken fillet or you can cut them in cubes. Slice the cabbage, carrots, yellow pepper and the onions. The green beans to be cut in half.

  2. Heat the oil in a wok or a large frying pan. Sauté the chicken fillet until they are brown.

  3. Add the onion, cabbage, carrot, yellow pepper, green beans and bean sprout. Fry for 3 minutes add a bit more of olive oil if needed. Now add your seasonings and sauces. Stir everything and let it cook for 7-8 minutes (stir occasionally).

Your chicken stir fry is now ready!
